Tell Her She's Dreamin': A memoir for ambitious girls

Tell Her She's Dreamin'

A memoir for ambitious girls

A rallying call for anyone who dreams big. And a deeply personal story of family, culture and music from Australia’s most successful hip-hop journalist, a high-achieving Lebanese-Australian woman who refused to be limited by others.

This book is a love letter to women longing to break free of the boxes their postcode, skin colour, gender and bank balance put them in. Its title is a rebel yell to ambitious women and girls hungry for more.

MENTORSHIP + NETWORKING SERIES

THE DREAM COLLECTIVE

Professional development and mentoring for female artists and creatives, with a special focus on elevating multicultural talent.

With over two decades of international experience in entertainment media and creative marketing, director Simone Amelia Jordan is uniquely positioned to offer her clientele authentic, detailed insight for their career growth with The Dream Collective.

The Dream Collective is also a monthly event series for diverse women in the arts and entertainment. The Sydney-based program empowers culturally and racially marginalised (CaRM) women in the sector, including those with intersecting identities, through networking and mentoring at all career levels.

The Dream Collective offers various activities to support and uplift CaRM women, including:

  1. Networking Events: Monthly gatherings where diverse women connect, share ideas, and build professional relationships.
  2. Mentorship: Sessions where participants receive guidance from industry veterans.
  3. Panel Discussions and Workshops: Educational panels and hands-on workshops led by artists, industry leaders, and social advocates.
  4. Showcasing Talent: Performances, art exhibits, or screenings that highlight the work of CaRM women in the industry.
  5. Advocacy and Support: The Dream Collective also functions as an advocacy group for women in the creative industries, working to challenge systemic inequities and drive cultural change.
