Promoting the release of his Ain’t No Stopping Me mixtape with DJ Drama, Snootie Wild stopped by my show to talk about his new music, partying in Las Vegas with Chris Brown, whether or not he’s doing Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, being inspired by today’s societal issues and more.
Boss Lady Hosts “Ladies Appreciation Dinner” For Yo Gotti
Being a huge fan of Yo Gotti (as an artist and person) I was honored to host his first “Ladies Appreciation Dinner” this week.
Not only does Gotti define hard work and determination, he’s mastered the fine art of being ridiculously flashy and genuinely humble at the same time. His mountainous jewels are blinding, he’ll nonchalantly let you know he buys cars and houses for women, he takes his fleet of Bentleys with him to each city he visits—yet he’s a lowkey, unassuming guy who doesn’t drink or smoke and speaks with an earnest (and rare, in his profession) sincerity.
Epic Records (shouts to LaTrice, Aura, Courtney, Sha Money, Jessica and Shaniqua) organized an intimate event at Philippe’s with a perfectly balanced group of women saluted by Gotti for their hard-working ways; journalists, bloggers, brand representatives and more. Over chicken satay sticks and lettuce wraps (and flowing CIROC cocktails) we discussed a range of Venus vs Mars type questions based on Gotti’s new “Respect U Earn” track featuring Ne-Yo, and were introduced to the Memphis street hustler turned music industry power player’s romantic side.
Gotti’s coming into his own as a star and is clearly ready to hold his own amidst rap’s power players. His CMG label and Epic Records have joined forces to produce a very solid album in I Am so how your support by pre-ordering it here. And much love to exciting new site GirlThatsMySong.com for being part of a special evening!
