The Breakthrough With Boss Lady: A$AP Rocky


In the first of a new series titled The Breakthrough, Simone “Boss Lady” Amelia sat down with A$AP Rocky and an audience of teenagers from the mentor organization she works with, New York Youth At Risk ( this past weekend in Harlem.

Rocky spoke on his relationship with his mother, where he found strength during the darkest times of his life, the importance of mentors, what he looks for in an ideal partner and more. He also answered questions from the audience.

The Breakthrough series motivates and inspires young people by allowing them to get up close and personal with their favorite artists. It gives the artists an opportunity to “give back” and show them in a positive light, when a majority are often only glorified for the wrong things.
